Cobblestones Miniature

Baker's Dozen Series; 25" x 25". Uses 1 1/2" strips. It is possible to believe the Cobblestone block got its name from quilters living in port towns during Colonial times. Ships carried cobblestones as cargo to keep the ship's weight stabilized. Upon arrival, the stones were off loaded in the port and replaced with actual cargo. In turn, the "dumped" stones were used to pave the town's roads. Ready to "pave" the road to a quick quilt?
