Ripples and Reflections
The Ripples and Reflections Block of the Month quilt design by Laurie Shifrin features fabrics from Hoffman Fabrics.
Pattern Clarifications and Corrections:
In Parts 1, 2 and 3, you’ll be making blocks that are 10 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ (10″ finished).
In Part 8, you’ll be making big blocks that measure 30″ finished from point to point on the diagonal. The units made in Part 4 are a weird fraction – 7.57″ or 7.07″ finished.
Page 33 – the binding strips are cut 2-1/2″ x wof.
Page 19 – Part 6, step 5 – You’ll be using 2 Fabric #9 L triangles for each flying geese unit as shown below. And, you’ll save 6 of the units just made for future parts.
Page 12 – Part 2, steps 1 and 2 – most if not all of the patterns have been corrected. You are using 1-3/4″ strips and crosscutting 1-3/4″ segments in step 1. In step 2, you are using a 1-3/4″ strip of Fabric #3; the crosscuts are 1-3/4″.
Page 8 – (this doesn’t affect anyone doing the block of the month cutting) Fabric #15, step 1, third line should read….Crosscut the strip into 16 rectangles, 1 3/4″ x 3″ (H).
