Each delightful block in this quilt combines applique and stitchery, the raw wood buttons which are cut in our studio add dimension to the quilt. Lynette has used felted wool for the flowers and blanket stitch appliquéd them using two strands of embroidery floss which adds texture. Can you see Hugo waiting outside the quilt shop with his string of embroidered daisies? Mr Bird is perched on top of a little traditional English paper pieced hexagon quilt. This quilt would make a great weekly/monthly workshop project.
