Newsletter: New Products from Fall Quilt Market (03 Nov 2016)

We have just returned from Fall Quilt Market in Houston.  We managed to take in many schoolhouse presentations, see what's new and did lots of shopping for you!

Our existing suppliers have added some exciting new products and we found some great new product lines we are releasing immediately - some are already in stock! ....and there are many more in the wings - we will keep you posted!

Studio 180 Design

We will be offering Tucker University in Canada.  This is a 12 month series of fully designed technique classes that has been designed with Quilt Shop owners and instructors in mind. Your time invested in preparation is minimal and it has great potential to be an excellent revenue generator for your shop. We will be sending out more detailed information in the next few weeks so that you can start recruiting participants.

Sew Kind of Wonderful

The new block of the month "Urbanology" is sure to be a hit! It uses the quick curve mini ruler and there are multiple layout options as well as many spinoff quilts that can be made from the pattern. And the new Mod Strawberries, MOD Pineapples and Mod Owls patterns are great too!

Elizabeth Hartman

Four great new patterns to go with her new Robert Kaufman "Pond" and Essex fabrics:

Pineapple Farm, Florence Flamingo, Sleepy Sloth and Lloyd and Lola Lamas.

Be Colourful

Jacqueline de Jonge has more hits on her hands with the newest BeColourful patterns: Infinity, Fanciful Flight, Fire Dance, When Summer Ends, Spring Fever and La Vie est Belle.

Abbey Lane

Who knew there would be so many great Beatles inspired pattern possibilities?  Six new titles were released at market - all sure to be a hit!  Fab Five Table Snacks, Daisy Chain, The Benefit, Moon Dog, Cherry Cream and Suburban Skies

Laura Heine Fiberworks

Your customers will find Laura's new Fish placemats are perfect for the cottage or a great Christmas present for their favourite angler.  Sirene is one of the latest additions to the line.  Consider a technique class where customers can choose their favourite pattern to work on in class.

Alison Glass

Alison has recoloured some of her patterns and added even more, including some embroidery patterns.  Colour Plus, Bungalow, Cobblestone and Matchstick are the newest quiting patterns and Attacus is the newest embroidery pattern

Eye of the Beholder

Margaret has been busy with three new patterns: handwork is becoming more and more popular all the time and these reverse applique patterns make an ideal hand stitching project.  For those who want it done quickly, most patterns adapt to machine applique work.   Fan the Flame and Midnight Explosion combine piecing and handwork and would be great for a class.

Sew to Grow

We have had a few of these gorgeous Aussie clothing and bag patterns in the past - they were sold out of what they thought was a good supply long before market was over but we managed to get a few to bring back with us, including the Jet Set Jumpsuit, Flatter Me Frock and Bondi Top.

By Annie

Annie has been inspired by her adorable grandson this year to create some great baby friendly patterns and lots lots more.  We are also working with Annie to offer her Get Organized class program to Canadian quilt shops.

Violet Craft

Violet is not quite ready to ship but there will soon be some great pillow abstraction patterns and hexie animals and necklace kits.

In our next newsletter, we will introduce the newest product lines - many already on the website and in stock!
